Pork is a food that is eaten all around the world. It has been a source of wealth and food security for many countries.
One of the most prominent examples is China. Pork was one of the first foods that were domesticated in China, and it has been an important part of Chinese cuisine ever since. It is also one of the most important sources of protein for many people in China, as well as other parts of Asia, such as Japan and Korea.
In addition to being a staple food for much of Asia, pork has also been an important part in the Chinese economy. For example, pigs have historically played a major role in providing cash income to farmers who raise them on their farms outside cities or other urban areas, thereby serving as an important source of wealth.

Pig farming is a major agricultural industry in many countries. It provides a large amount of food for the population and employs many people. However, it has some negative impacts on the environment.
The most notable environmental impact of pig farming is the release of methane gas into the atmosphere. Methane gas is produced when pig manure decomposes in an oxygen-deprived environment, such as a lagoon, the release of methane gas into the atmosphere contributes to global warming and climate change.
Another environmental impact that pig farming has is on water resources and water quality, when there are too many pigs in one area, they produce more manure than can be absorbed by the soil and lagoons, which causes excess manure to enter waterways and tributaries that lead to rivers and lakes, causing problems such as pollution, algae blooms and algal toxins.

Modern day mechanized farming has given birth to a new generation where pig are now been raised in factory farms thereby curbing environmental pollution, given them access to water that is clean and accessible, thereby not making them a threat to the environment when they are roaming free on pasture land.
